Just a typical Saturday morning at AHOP

Some friends of mine have been encouraging me to start a blog to document all of my cooking events for the CMPD.  Yesterday, the blog finally started to take shape and it developed a cute little personality, so I thought I would start the blogging process today.

Yesterday the rain woke me at 3:15 am.  It wasn't a breakfast Saturday, so I could sleep in.  But I started thinking about my officers and what kind of day they'd have if the rain continued.  The next thing I knew, I was sending an email to the two 1st shift sergeants to see if there was any interest in an impromptu breakfast.  One sergeant replied encouraging me to go back to sleep and said "are you sure you want to do this?"  He had been summoned the night before to be at the office at 3:30 am, so I think my email was a pleasant surprise.  So I got busy! Impromptu is always fun!  5 officers, 2 volunteers, laughter and great conversation.

  1. Well, for all those non-believers....Yes! There really is an AHOP....Ann's House of Pancakes! Not convinced? At AHOP you will see police cars parked along the road and in her driveway, smiling faces inside her lovely home, and laughter. Wow! I always look forward to those Saturday mornings when we enjoy Christian fellowship, warm southern hospitality, and Ann's fine home cooking. Ann, we all love you. Thank you so much for everything you do for us police officers. You have become a member of our CMPD family. God Bless you.

  3. Breakfast yesterday was fantastic. The officers of the South Division appreciate all that you do for us. Thank you to all the supporters of AHOP.

Ann has done much more than feed breakfast to officers every other Saturday. She has opened her home up to total strangers, giving the often silent voice of appreciation, from the citizens, to the officers of the CMPD.

Ann thanks for all you do for us. I can't find "flap jacks" like yours any other place but AHOP.
