January 5, 2017 ~ The wonderful 3rd shift officers in the Westover Division - thank you for my long-sought-after photo!

This is the very first candy bar wrapper I designed to honor three of my breakfast officers who were heroes on June 11, 2011, when they rescued an elderly couple from a terrible carbon monoxide accident. I wanted to recognize them in some way at the next breakfast, so I made up these candy bar wrappers and wrapped a bunch of Hershey Candy Bars. I thought they turned out really cute and everyone seemed to love them!

My first test-batch of Pumpkin Pancakes.
December 24, 2011 ~ The awesome Christmasy gift from my friends in the South Division -- a neon sign for AHOP. If ever I ask again whether or not these guys really enjoy coming to my house for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I will just look at this sign and know what they do!

April 7, 2012 ~ Happy Easter to my Cops of Eggcellance. Click here for story. (These candy bars went to South, North and Central -- did you notice the handcuffs on Bugs Bunny?)

One of the sergeants called this "magic meatloaf" (cute, huh?) So that's what I named it. Posted on 8/21/12: AHOP's Magic Meatloaf
"Operation Cream Puff"....some officers say they are the BOMB!
The 911/Dispatchers call them 'Cream Puff Crack'!
12.14.12 ~ Strawberry Santas were a big hit at the 10th floor holiday potluck.
I delivered these cute little Charlie Brown Christmas trees to three CMPD divisions in December 2012. More of these to follow in 2013. :) Click here for that story.
When the officers schedule changed, it increasingly made it harder for them to stop by for breakfast and dinner...so I purchased these To-Go containers -- seemed to be a nice alternative. And they're microwavable, so they can be reheated if duty calls.
Pot Roast 'To-Go' slow cooked for more than 9 hours. Nine of these meals delivered to
South Division 6.12.13. They loved it!
Meatloaf Deliveries
Saturday breakfast - when it got too hard for 1st shift to stop by for breakfast, AHOP went to them. This was my first (and LAST) breakfast 'to-go' though. It was just too hard to deliver it by a certain time and these officers need to get on the road! I would never make it in the catering business and I have a deep appreciation for anyone who has that profession (I don't know how they do it!) Pictured here....applesauce pancakes, hash brown/sausage breakfast casserole, bacon.
Recipe coming soon.

December 14, 2014....Holiday dinner in my home for 2nd shift - South Division
A gift from a colleague....I love it so much!
And who knew....a cream puff ornament. I found this in a cooking store 'Sur La Tab'
in December 2013 and couldn't go home without it.

January 4, 2015 - Dinner for the sweet officers in the Metro Division
This was my second dinner delivery to these nice officers. My first dinner was lasagna and when I asked them what they wanted for dinner this second time, the vote was unanimous. Lasagna (again). I still don't think they quite understand just how much joy I get from doing this. I love going down there and they all seem happy to see me -- it's my happy place.

March 14, 2015 - Check this out...FINALLY, a picture with an officer!! I have only waited 5 years for a photo op. I keep telling these guys..."I need pictures! My friends think I'm making you up!" I don't go on about it out of respect for their privacy, but it makes me sad I don't have any pictures with my friends. It was very sweet of this officer to agree.

July 20, 2015 - Special candy bars for the Waxhaw Police Department. They also are appreciated far beyond their city limits. Click here for that story.

April 21, 2016 -- After almost a year hiatus post-foot surgery, I delivered dinner for the first time to the awesome ABC Unit. These officers are always so sweet to stop by the gift shop to say hello (whether I have cream puffs or not). They have taken the time to get to know me. I had a wonderful visit and they all made me feel welcome. They were digging in almost as soon as everything was situated (and I was too), so I don't have any pictures. I love these guys -- they're a class act. They were very thoughtful to give me an gift card to Harris Teeter before I left (the perfect gift). Thank you so much!
Here's a picture of the invitation I sent out. Three pans of lasagna and for dessert, banana pudding and cream puffs.
July 2011 ~ My super cute license tag
