I am thankful this Thanksgiving to have enjoyed another year of cooking breakfast and dinner for some of the kindest and most big-hearted CMPD police officers you'd ever want to meet. They all mean so much to me. I received three text messages this morning from officers wishing me a Happy Thanksgiving. Their messages instantly put a smile on my face, but it also reminded me of how many officers around the country would spend this beautiful day in their patrol car instead of at home with their family. Many officers worked an extra long day for the Black Friday retailers who opened their doors early.
I shared my Thanksgiving with my good friends in Midland, NC. I am thankful for their love and friendship throughout the years.
