Cream puff shenanigans....

I LOVE my officer visits when I deliver my cream puffs.

I LOVE the 30 minutes I get to spend with them before, during, and after roll call.

I LOVE the way they cut-up and tease one another, when I know in my heart each one would lay down their life to save the other.

There are 13 CMPD response area offices in Mecklenburg County and I have had the pleasure of visiting all but one.

Last Friday night, I delivered two boxes of cream puffs (30 puffs) to a division across town. It's funny how they're all different -- some officers will dig in before roll call (if time permits), but this division always waits until after. When roll call is over, they dig in.

When roll call finished and 2/3rd's of the puffs were gone, there were two officers eyeing one of the boxes with a worried look on their face. They were a little concerned that the cream puffs would be gone by the time their shift was over. 3rd shift starts at 8:30 pm, 2nd shift returns from their shift around 9:00 pm, and then there's 1st shift....well, they roll in around 6:30 am.

So what does any police officer do if they're extremely concerned all the cream puffs will be gone when their shift is over?

They hide them, of course!
